AqVida is a pharmaceutical company specializing in the development, regulatory approval, manufacturing, and distribution of oncology products. Our portfolio includes the most important generic medicines for the treatment of the most common types of cancer.
While our customers are located worldwide, we operate two sites in northern Germany: our headquarters and administrative offices in Hamburg, established in 2005, and our state‑of‑the‑art production facility in Dassow, Mecklenburg‑Western Pomerania, opened in 2016.
For our office in the heart of Hamburg, we are looking to fill the position of Head of Finance (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.
For this responsible role, we are seeking an entrepreneurial‑minded individual who enjoys leading the finance function with operational reliability and further developing it in close cooperation with the Managing Directors.
The position combines solid experience in finance and accounting with a high degree of scope for shaping and development. We are looking for a personality who communicates complex financial matters clearly, continuously improves processes in a structured way, and positions the finance function as a professional sparring partner for the Managing Directors as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the finance function and its continuous development
- Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team of three employees (two of them part‑time)
- Ensuring proper accounting and the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Responsibility for compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
- Acting as a central interface to the Managing Directors, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and authorities
- Preparation, coordination, and professional management of annual audits and tax audits
- Further development and optimization of financial processes and reporting structures
- Active contribution to the design and development of controlling, cash flow, and management tools
- Working with SAP Business One
Your Profile:
- Several years of experience in finance and accounting, including initial leadership responsibility
- Strong confidence in dealing with accounting and balance‑sheet‑related matters
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and appropriately in German and English
- A structured, solution‑oriented, and process‑driven working style
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong interest in shaping and developing structures and processes
- Openness to modern ways of working and continuous improvement
