Accounts Payable Accountant (m/f/d) with expertise in Fixed Asset Accounting
AqVida is a pharmaceutical company specializing in the development, registration, manufacturing, and distribution of oncology products. Our portfolio includes the most important generics for the treatment of the most common types of cancer.
While our customers are located worldwide, we have two sites in Northern Germany: since 2005, our administration and headquarters in Hamburg, and since 2016, our state-of-the-art production facility in Dassow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
For our office in the heart of Hamburg, we are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant (m/f/d) with expertise in Fixed Asset Accounting to join us as soon as possible.
Your tasks:
Accounts Payable
- Independent handling of accounts payable processes
- Verification, coding, and posting of incoming invoices
- Matching goods receipt invoices with purchase orders
- Coordination and follow-up of invoice approvals in Candis
- Reconciliation and maintenance of vendor accounts and master data
- Execution of payment runs and monitoring of payment deadlines
- Processing reminders and resolving outstanding items with suppliers
- Handling travel expenses and reimbursements
- Posting company credit card transactions and petty cash
Fixed Asset Accounting
- Recording and maintaining fixed assets
- Performing capitalizations and depreciations in accordance with HGB
- Reconciling fixed asset accounting with the general ledger
Additional Tasks
- Support in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Contribution to process optimization and digitalization initiatives
Your Profile:
- Completed commercial training—ideally with further education in accounting—or a comparable qualification (e.g., degree in a relevant field)
- Several years of experience in accounts payable accounting
- Strong knowledge of HGB accounting standards and tax-related issues in accounts payable (VAT, EUST, intra-community acquisitions)
- Proficient in MS Office, document management systems (Candis), ERP systems (SAP Business One), and payment software (sFirm)
- Independent working style and quick comprehension
- Willingness to actively and empathetically support change processes
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
